Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy of the breakbeat duo Evil Nine are back with a two track EP that encompasses the creative essence that has made the pair standout for over 14 years. Only The Beat is excited to announce an exclusive premiere of the second single on the EP, "Silver."
"Silver" is a steady moving, percussion-driven track with a lively drum pattern and euphoric ambiance. This is a record you can cruise to the beach to or even blast on high volume while painting in your studio. It's perfect for easy listening, as we see the first glimpses of spring emerge and luring us outdoors to revel under the inviting sunshine. "Silver" is now available for download on any of Evil Nine's social media sites listed below.
Also on the EP is the single "Your Girl"- another fantastically astral breakbeat record that coexists nicely with "Silver," making for a compilation you will want to set on repeat.
Tom and Pat joined forces in 1995 after meeting in Brighton, England. Their first bit of success came after their good friend and singer/songwriter Jemma "Jem" Griffiths pushed their demo cassette in the hands of Adam Freeland of the record label Marine Parade. In 2004 Evil Nine released their debut album "You Can Be Special Too", which featured collaborations with Aesop Rock and Juice Aleem, just to name a few. The latter half of their career was filled with residencies in various UK nightclubs, track features in cinema, television and video games and a second album titled "They Live!". Since 2009, Evil Nine has released a number of successful breaks singles and even started their own record label where they continue to create music.
