Spotlight 003 Thursday Edition: Jaytech

This week I have chosen an artist from one of the most well known labels in the industry, Anjunabeats own Jaytech.  This label is lined with stellar acts such as Above & Beyond, Arty, Tritonal, Mat Zo, Super8 & Tab, Myon & Shane 54, Norin & Rad, Andrew Bayer, and Maor Levi just to name a few.  Not only has Jaytech regularly opened up for Above & Beyond at massive shows, but he has recently played at Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and Dance Valley.

Notable Tracks

Jaytech released his first song as a producer at the age of 16 and has been at it ever since.  With his first release Everything Is Ok he featured tracks like Pyramid and Pepe's Garden.  He is also seen as a leader in song selection and mixing as he was featured on Anjunadeep 02 and 03 compilation albums.  His most recently released album is called Multiverse which brings together his Anjunadeep sounds with some of the more mainstream Anjunabeats club tracks.  This album features songs like Labour of Love featuring Nathan Granger (which happens to be my favorite track out right now), and Stranger featuring Steve Smith from Dirty Vegas.  He also has his own weekly podcast, Jaytech Music which is currently on episode 067.  He has also recently had huge remixes of Your Secret's Safe by Julie Thompson & Super 8 & Tab, If I Could Fly from Sirens of the Sea, and Meaningful Story by Dinka.

Whether you are listening to music that Jaytech has produced, mixed into a compilation, or even DJ'd live you can't help but have a smile on your face.  His upbeat, eclectic sound most of the time makes me question if I am walking around in the clouds or on the ground.

If you would like to see Jaytech in the near future you are in luck because he is touring all over the world in the next couple months.  He is going on tour in India from August 21st to the 25th in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore.  Jaytech is then moving on to the World Trade Centre in the Philippines on August 31st.  After that he will be in London at Ministry of Sound on September 13th before making his way to the United States for three dates in Chicago on September 26th, Santa Ana on the 28th, and at TomorrowWorld in Atlanta on September 29th.  If you get the chance to make it to any of these shows I promise that you will not be disappointed.
