Maor Levi Ft. Daphne – Beautiful Disaster (cLdz Deep Remix)

cLdz’s Deep Remix of Maor Levi’s Progressive House track is more beauty than disaster.

Sky’s The Limit

The internet is home to a pool of talented hopefuls waiting to be discovered. One such enigma, known simply as “cLdz,” hovers mysteriously on the periphery. Existing only on Soundcloud, with a handful of Mixcloud sets, the fittingly ironic moniker is both creative and elusive.  Such as the name suggests, we are left to fill in the blanks about the personality behind the music and the symbolism it implies.

Maor Levi Ft. Daphne – Beautiful Disaster

The Gift

On his birthday, and just under a year after the song’s release, Maor Levi decided to give away the acapella of “Beautiful Disaster” for free on Soundcloud. With its incredibly written lyrics and Daphne’s breathy, melodic vocal performance the track is a producer’s wet dream, dripping with eargasmic potential. In the hands of the right artists, it is a gift that keeps on giving.

Unexpected Gem

cLdz uses various sounds and percussions to create an atmosphere for their selection of vocal snippets.  A catchy, rhythmic bongo keeps time alongside claps and a deep bassline; synths warp and change intensity under Daphne’s seductive crooning, sounding much more inviting with every repeated sample. The track reaches a feverish pitch before dropping back into a groove.

Coincidentally, a very close friend of mine whose musical taste I hold in high regard shared this song with me on his birthday. It’s been in constant rotation for me all summer. I can’t keep it to myself, anymore. It’s undeniably well-produced and a shame that it isn’t being heard.

Show cLdz some love. The track is available for free download on their Soundcloud page. It really is a gift that keeps on giving.
