COSSY Infects Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow” with some Heldens-esque House
Here to bring Iggy Azalea‘s chart topper to the dance floor is Mexico’s own COSSY. This up & comer recently signed with the budding Music Production and Artist Management Company, Deep Root Records (which houses artists including Francis Mercier, Alodot & others). Never heard of COSSY? Here’s what you need to know:
He dedicated his whole life to music, and has been playing a variety of instruments (drums, guitar, bass & vocals) since his elementary days. Spinning a mix of future house, merging deep and big room sounds, COSSY is on a vengeance to solve the world’s hunger for original music. His unparalleled flair, originality and presence have gained him access to some of the most coveted stages in NYC, including Dream Hotel, and Griffin Night Club. When he is not pleasing the demanding NYC crowds, COSSY is in the studio crushing production marathons. All in all, COSSY’s diverse background, in combination with his experience as a producer, have led to endorsement from none other than Mr. Future/Deep House himself, Oliver Heldens. The track below is a unique future flip of R3hab, NERVO, & Ummet Ozcan‘s “Revolution”, and was featured in “Heldeep Radio 006“.
That said, if you enjoyed the groovy number above, make sure you check out his club take on Iggy Azalea’s Rita Ora featured “Black Widow”. For this one, COSSY took Rita’s vocals and added a HUGE bassline, and a melody that WILL make you dance (whether you want to or not). This track will be enormous…make sure you thank me later ;).
