Walk In the Fire - Dirtyphonics

As a long time fan of both EDM and metal music, I nearly cried tears of joy when I heard Walk in the Fire by Dirtyphonics. It is a blend of classic metal riffs and heavy drum and bass that really tickles my dark side. It is not very often that you can blend metal into another genre and have it sound anywhere near decent, but Dirtyphonics kills it. The EP includes remixes from Schoolboy and Culprate, both of which do a good job of translating the metal to other genres as well. Schoolboy goes electro house (it even has a nice Knife Party feel to it), and Culprate does dubstep. As a fan, I hope this trend of blending real guitars and heaviness with electronic dance music continues.

A multi-talented member of the OTB team, Chase currently resides in the Music City (aka Nashville, TN) and is responsible for videography, photography, graphic design, and the occasional post. Originally from the Bay area (a huge 49er's fan), Chase is also one of those annoying musicians who can play any instrument, really really well...
