Zeds Dead “Somewhere Else” EP Now Out

The Toronto duo Zeds Dead is back with a fresh EP full that takes us to someplace we have never been before. “Somewhere Else” is Zeds Dead’s sixth album and has all the makings to be the best one yet.

Longtime fans of Zeds Dead will find this album to fit right in with their other productions. The album has a very hip-hop and rap influenced feel while bringing in the bass vibes that Zeds Dead is known for.

Somewhere Else is lighter than previous albums too. Taking a slight step away from the heavy grunge bass and dubstep that has been their signature in the past, Zeds Dead takes a more modern, future bass stance on their tracks. Don’t take this to mean they have gone soft.

There is still a distinct Zeds Dead feel to each song, and hearing Omar LinX rap on the track Stoned Capone is a very welcome addition to the album. Other favorites on the album include Hadouken, Blink, and Where Are You Now.

Make sure to check out the full album on Soundcloud as well as the mini-mix below for a taste of the album as a whole. I can’t wait to hear how DC and Hooks mix these new songs into their sets later this year at the Mad Decent Block party. It is sure to be an amazing time!

From LA to Seattle, the West Coast has always been my home and I take great pride in the music scene we have here. Bass music is my first love, but in reality I love and appreciate all types of music...besides country. Let the music talk. You just have to be ready to listen.
