Moonlight is Enough For Varien & SirensCeol to Shine

Is it just me or are genres on SoundCloud getting out of control? Artists’ names, record company names and standard genres (trap, house, progressive house, etc.) are becoming nonexistent as Dropical Bass, Hybrid, 3am House, Epic, Sunset House and others take over. When I see that “#Epic” genre though, I usually stop and listen to it, and I am so glad I did. Monstercat’s Varien joined up with SirensCeol and released an epic electronic gem with “Moonlight.”

Click play and let this one bust your speakers in the best possible way.

Varien & SirensCeol – Moonlight (feat. Aloma Steele)

Aloma Steele starts this haunting vocals that send a chill down the spine. The background builds to a Trance feel with synths that make way for an amazing melodic dubstep drop that is deserving of a giant laser show. Varien & SirensCeol crush our ears with the best some dubstep I’ve heard in a  minute. Give in to the beat and enjoy as the world around you vanishes.

The bridge has a Nero-esque sound from Welcome Reality as Varien and SirensCeol pound away with some vocoder for some extra feels. The beat drops back in with renewed fervor and I can’t help but love every second of it. This duo should definitely catch your ear and I hope this isn’t the last that we hear of them.

Pick up this track through Beatport and make sure to check both of these artists on SoundCloud for a few additional pick-me-ups. There must be something about the word “moonlight” that makes this song gold. Or better yet, why does everything that Aloma Steele touch turn into diamonds? What do you think about the tune? Comment below with your reactions.

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
