Grabbitz ‘s New EP is for All Your Friends, Every One of Them

You might want to get ready to hear the name Grabbitz everywhere this year. The Monstercat artist recently received some attention from deadmau5 after giving “Silent Picture” a beautiful vocal edit sung by the producer himself. Amidst the burgeoning collaboration that is bound to happen, Nick Chiari released his new Friends EP, a 7 song journey including some of the best dubstep I’ve heard all year.

 Grabbitz – Friends EP

The 22 year old begins the EP with “7.6.14” a beautiful piano melody setting everyone up for what is sure to become one of the premiere releases of the year. “Here With You Now” is the second track off the EP which as his Monstercat debut track will probably be one of the favorites, garnering over 860,000 plays in just over 2 months. The title track “Friends” partners Grabbitz with Faustix to provide us a brilliant dub tune with a dirty beat and body-chilling vocals. Trust me when I say that you need this EP.

The 22 year old Buffalo native now resides in LA making waves throughout the music industry and not just in the eyes of deadmau5. He recently worked with CBS’ newest CSI, CSI: Cyber, to provide compositions for the season. Nick definitely has the makings of an amazing artist as he also sings on top of his productions. If you want a peek into how he sounds when he sings, check out the vocal edit of deadmau5’s “Silent Picture” below. If Joel was impressed, you are sure to be blown away.

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
