Au5 and Fiora are Our Guardians

October may be bringing cooler weather (unless you live in the Midwest), but have no fear, Au5 is here to warm our body up with new track “Guardians.” After releasing “Atlantis” a month ago, Austin Collins is back again with another “trancestep” track. Elements of electro, progressive house and trance flow through this track to create a powerful and emotive original with Fiora on vocals. Listen to it below.

Au5 – Guardians (feat. Fiora)

The powerful build in the beginning releases itself into a deep house beat of sorts, if you cranked the BPM’s up. A motif of notes that sound like shimmering jewels pan left and right around the wood flute melody invoking thoughts of walking through nature with the sun’s rays shining through branches. Fiora’s infectious vocals blend with the sound perfectly as Au5 continues to build “Guardians” into a full-fledged power track.

The drop is powered by electro sounds crafted into a trance beat that remind me of the middle of Above & Beyond’s livesets. The heart throbbing piano melody keeps your soul intact as each note hits a heart string. This is what I love.

Au5 is determined to make everyone cry with joy in each track of his, and he hit the sweet spot with “Guardians.” Those single seconds of silence in the drop make me smile, the swirling deep synthesizer underneath control my body and Fiora’s vocals… just wow. From 4:45 on, feelings of pure ecstasy rush over my body; no drug can make me feel this way. This is what this music is about. I want to hear this song live… period.

If you haven’t heard of Au5 before, you have been missing out. Austin is one of the shining stars of Monstercat, and his musical prowess is shown in each track. From a young age, he was surrounded by music and it shows in “Guardians.”

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
