This Week in Trance 004

Without a doubt, the most exciting thing to happen this week is the release of Armin Van Buuren's documentary.  Never before have we had the opportunity to see in such professional detail what the life of a superstar DJ is really like.  I've been a fan of Armin's since I saw him for the first time in 2006, but I never realized that he originally intended to be a lawyer and actually graduated from law school!  This is a must watch film for any EDM enthusiast.  Check it out HERE.

The first track I want to bring to your attention this week comes from rising trance producer Matt Davey.  This guy is on FIRE!!  He has several brand new tracks all of which are quite impressive.  My favorite is called "Believe in Me."  The radio edit was released as part of Universal Religion Chapter 6, but the full release won't be available until October 15th.  Check it out.

Matt has another track being released on October 15th called "Oblivion" - also excellent.

Another track which caught my attention this week is part of PVD's Remix EP for "I Don't Deserve You."  The remix is by Jerome Isma-Ae - and it's absolute amazing.  I love the reverb on the vocal during the breakdown and huge thick bass after the crescendo.  This mix is pure class - and certainly my favorite from the EP.

Also this week from we have an awesome remix by Ferry Tayle.  It's being released on Enhanced's Amsterdam 2012 Compilation and should be available for purchase October 8th.  Amazing tune!

For all you old school trance fans out there, I've got something really unique for you.  Perhaps you remember Mike/Push/Solar Factor (M.I.K.E.), a veteran trance producer most famous for early trance productions such as Urban Shakedown.  His remix of this eclectic pop track is nothing short of mind blowing.  The vocal is kinda dark, creepy and mesmerizing, but works perfectly with Mike's old-school driving trance sounds.  I think this track may have been released last year, but I hadn't heard it before I stumbled into it earlier this week.  This sound takes me back to the good old days. Check it out!

That's all for this week!  -Mike
