This Week in Trance 010
This Week in Trance 010
New music this week from Maor Levi, jjoo, C-Systems, Nessai, Ben Nicky, M.I.K.E., and Daniel Kandi.
The first track this week is a feel good remix by Maor Levi of Gabriel & Dresden’s smash hit “Play It Back.” Maor has had an incredible year and this remix is the perfect way to finish it off. I wish I had a more complete version of this track to share with you. Unfortunately, all that’s available is what has been ripped from Armin’s ASOT radio show. But you can tell just from the radio edit that this going to be one of the biggest tracks this holiday season. Release TBD. Enjoy!

Without a doubt, my favorite producer of the latter part of 2012 is jjoo. His landmark releases “One Night in Seol,” “Restless,”and “Sakura” have only been recently eclipsed by his new collaboration with Hanksi on Alter Ego Records called “Premonition.” Jjoo is making a name for himself as one of the most prolific new talents in the trance/progressive scene. Check out “Premonition.”
Jjoo also recently finished this monumental remix of the vocal anthem “Agony” by Karanda. In my opinion, this is how the original mix should have sounded. If you had any doubts before, now you can be certain, jjoo is here to stay.
Alter Ego Records got my IDMA nomination for breakout record label this year. With that in mind, check out C-Systems new release ft. Hanna Finsen called “Save the Moment.” This track is classic C-Systems: beautiful melodies, awesome vocal breakdown, and driving trance rhythms. Out now exclusively on Beatport.

This week I am very excited to share an incredible new track from the best trance producer you’ve never heard of: Nessai. I’ve been following him on soundcloud for some time and I must say this last production is one of his best. For those of you that like classic uplifting trance, you’re in for a real treat. Hopefully this one finds its way to release on a major label and Nessai gets the recognition he deserves.
Next up is Ben Nicky‘s new dance floor anthem “Gemini.” Recently given the title of “Tune of the Week” on ASOT, Ben’s new release is nothing short of amazing. The track won’t be available until 2013, but at least we get a HQ teaser in the meantime.

Also this week we have a new original production by M.I.K.E. from his upcoming artist album “World Citizen,” which is scheduled for release in February 2013. M.I.K.E. is one of the classic trance producers that finds his home in the old-school driving bass lines and huge detuned leads that made early trance so famous. It’s nice to see M.I.K.E. going back to his roots. His new tune “We Are!” reminds me of the first trance album I ever purchased: “Global” by Paul van Dyk. Check it out!!

Lastly, Daniel Kandi just finished a new track which I believe he is calling “Fade.” He made the track available for free. You can listen and download by following the link in an OTB page posted HERE.
That’s all for this week kiddies. Tune in every week for the hottest trance and progressive tunes straight to your fingertips. Peace!!! – Mike.
