EDC Las Vegas – Artists You Need To See

As everyone begins to set their schedules in stone for each day of Electric Daisy Carnival, I have an artist for you for each day of the festival that you may be overlooking due to a larger name playing at the time.  However I can guarantee that after the weekend is over you will look back and think to yourself, “Good thing I checked out OnlyTheBeat and read that article!”

On day one, Friday June 21st, 2013 my don’t miss artist of the night is Arty from 3 AM to 4 AM on the Circuit Grounds.  Even though you will have to miss a half hour of Knife Party and Dada Life’s set on the Kinetic Field, I promise you will not be disappointed.  Last year at EDC Arty played early from 7:30 PM to 8:15 PM, before the sun went down with a bass heavy set.  Since last year Arty has came out with progressive hits such as Must Be the Love with BT and Nadia Ali, Together We Are with Chris James, and a smashing remix of Ferry Corsten’s Rock Your Body Rock 2013.  For all the progressive and house fans out there Arty is top notch!

Day two of Electric Daisy Carnival is packed with giant names such as Fatboy Slim, Avicii, Tiesto, and Hardwell, but I chose the up and comer Carnage as my don’t miss artist of the night from 10:00 PM to 10:50 PM on the Bass Pod stage.  Sander Van Doorn also will be playing in this time slot and has had some big releases this year including Into The Light his newest track, but I believe this would be a good time to venture out and see something new.  In the past year the trap subgenre has blown up much thanks to Carnage’s Festival Trap Mix Volume(s) 1 & 2.  He has done massive remix’s to festival house songs such as: Spaceman (Hardwell), Epic (Sandro Silva & Quintino), and Cannonball (Showtek & Justin Prime).  On top of those huge releases, Carnage put out his original track Incredible with Borgore that went number one on the Beatport Electro House Chart, and his newest release Signal.

Saving the best for last is what I believe the founder of Insomniac, Pasquale Rotella has done with my final don’t miss pick for EDC 2013.  For Sunday June 23rd, I chose Cazzette as my do not miss artist.  Last year their set was my favorite of all performers at EDC 2012 as they blew me away with remix’s of Where Have You Been by Rihanna and Rolling In The Deep by Adele.  Playing this same set time from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM is Dash Berlin, but I figure you fans will want to go out with a BANG!  This year Cazzette has released their trap bootleg of Alcoholic by Avicii, Glowing (Vs. Nikki Williams), and their smash hit Weapon.  If their music isn’t enough, Cazzette also has one of the most memorable pieces of headgear I have seen.  They both wear a large cassette tape on their heads with a LED readout on the front to keep the crowd engaged.

No matter who you see, I am sure you will have the time of your life in these next three days in Las Vegas so live it up.  Just remember, don’t miss the little guy, just because he’s not big yet.
