Trance Thursday 008

Happy Thursday Trance fans. It’s been an exciting week for Trance music, with new releases from Ilan Bluestone, Aly & Fila, a massive live set from Ferry Tayle, and a special interview with Matt Cerf talking about his new track Like We Love. I’ve included the Avenue one remix in this weeks post and it is my track of the month, hands down. Let’s get started.

1. Ilan Bluestone – Snapdragon

Ilan Bluestone’s latest release on Anjunabeats. You know what to do. Press play, turn up, sing, dance, be merry.

2. Aly & Fila with Ferry Tayle – Nubia

Looking for something new? How about this collaboration between the legendary Egyptian duo of Aly & Fila and French producer Ferry Tayle. Armin Van Burren paraded the track around on ASOT 683 calling it “one of my favorites” from Aly & Fila’s new album The Other Shore, which was released over the weekend.

Just in case you’re wondering about Ferry Tayle’s street cred, here’s his most recent live set recorded at Godskitchen TXXENTY last month.

Listen up kids (looking at you, Martin Garrix), this is what a real RAVE sounds like…

3. Shadow of Two – Rezeda

Are you kidding me? Where else do you hear songs like this? What other genres are hitting you with feels like this? I don’t think I really have to explain, if you don’t get it, I don’t know man, we can’t be friends. This is the kind of peak hour track that makes me lose it on the dance floor.

4. Richard Bass – Shout Of Joy (Original Mix)

Richard Bass delivers an all around feel good track, literally making me feel the warmth that’s radiating out of my speakers. This track has an uncanny way of bringing a smile to you face.

5. Roald Velden – Last Flight Home [Artist Album]

Roald Velden’s Morning Light caught my ear in Fon.Leman’s podcast and I knew I had to share it. Low and behold, when I arrive on Velden’s Soundcloud page there was an entire album there, just waiting for me, not a single track over 2k plays. If you liked Porter Robinson’s latest album, start this one from the very top and play it all the way through, it’s a complete work, carrying you through from one tune to the next. Velden’s found a sound to call his own, light and airy, hypnotic, something important for a producer these days to do, just don’t leave this page without listening to Morning Light

6. Matt Cerf and Ost & Meyer feat. Fenja – Like We Love (Avenue One Remix)

I might have accidentally saved the best for last, stumbling upon this Avenue One Remix late Tuesday night, shown to me the way most good music is, by a good friend.

Avenue one really out did themselves on this one. Not much is known about Avenue one, and what is known (this remix of Aly & Fila’s For All Time) is quite impressive. I do know that “Fenja” is really Trance vocalist Jaren, who’s also Matt Cerf’s wife.
