Lazy Christmas 2014 | Hot Since 82, Dixon, Jaytech, Deep House

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Lazy Christmas 2014 is a special edition of Lazy Sundays, showcasing music from Hot Since 82, Dixon, Jaytech, and other hand-picked tracks and mixes in techno, tech house, and deep house. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!

Floorplan – We Magnify His Name [M-Plant]

Robert Hood (aka Floorplan) released the hugely uplifting Gospel-infused House thumper “We Magnify His Name“, in 2011, channeling the historical surroundings of his current place of residence in Alabama via the Futurism of his Hometown. “But he is worthy!” This is definitely the ULTIMATE Christmas jam, for sure.

Stephanie Cooke – Holding On To Your Love (Mood II Swing Dub) [King Street Sounds]

“Hold on to the love that we share….it’s a new day!” I am such a big, big fan of this dub from Mood II Swing. Lights out, dynamite.

Hot Since 82 – Knee Deep in 2014 Mix [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Deep House don Hot Since 82 gave all of us an early Christmas present this year with this stellar three-hour mix of some of his favorite tracks from 2014 plus some new exclusive jams thrown in. Every Hot Since 82 mix is a present….and this end-of-the-year mix truly lives up to what an end-of-the-year mix should be.

David Morales – Lovin (Disko Mix) [MIXMAG PREMIERE]

Disco goodness. That’s all there is to it. David Morales’s “Lovin” has already been hammered by the likes of Louie Vega, Mousse T and Tony Humphries, and it’s easy to see why.Euphoria-inducing riffs, giant vocals and a vibe that throws you all the way back to the balearic heights of the early 90s. It’s just simply a fantastic track that’s sure to warm you up on those Christmas evenings. Disco Fever!

Dixon – in our wilderness

Dixon shocked the electronic world this week with his surprise first upload to Soundcloud, “in our wilderness”. It’s been only three days and Dixon has over 66,000 followers. It’s unreal…but totally believable. The back-to-back Resident Advisor “No. 1 DJ” is a force to be reckoned with, and his loyal following shines through here.

Guy J – December Around The World 2014 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Seasonal Guy J mixes are the norm nowadays, but who cares….they are just SO GOOD. Tune in to another masterpiece.

Cristoph – Feel Like [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Deep House up-and-comer Cristoph swung for the fences in 2014, and he delivered with monster tunes such as “On The Inside” and “Hold Me Back”. Cristoph is greatly appreciative of the support he’s gathered throughout the year, so he wanted to give back with “Feel Like”, his sixth giveaway off of his “12 Days of Cristoph.” I am fully convinced by now that everything Cristoph touches is gold. I can’t wait for all of his new material in 2015.

Jaytech – Winter Ambient 2014 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Jaytech’s ‘Winter Ambient 2014’ is a collection of cinematic soundscapes, lush strings and ambient textures from 2014. I know that Jaytech has been putting out material with Anjunadeep….but this mix is on a whole other level. Curl up on the couch with the one you love/admire, and sling back some hot chocolate with a sprinkle of ambient warmth and cheer.
