Why Ü So Serious Diplo?

Jack Ü, Diplo Get Serious This August

Arguably the best tandem in musical production right now is the collaboration of Skrillex and Diplo, better known as Jack  Ü.

Jack Ü started out 2015 with a bang, selling out their set at the historic Madison Square Garden and have continued to produce top hits, headline the top festivals, and even turn random house parties into bangers while maintaining residencies at the best clubs in Las Vegas. The wild antics of the duo further their places among the best DJs and shows to attend even if it is at Soulcycle.

Jack Ü continues to rule in 2015 and is getting more serious about their musical production as they churn out chart topping hits. Skrillex and Diplo continue to bolster their following by engaging mainstream music and cultural audiences in major news publications and partnering with leading companies. Diplo has always been an entrepreneur who was featured in Fast Company in January of 2015.  Diplo as a stand alone artist, his work with Major Lazer and the Mad Decent record label, and of course Jack Ü, has dominated the music industry this August and resulted in some very serious performances and interviews. The chaos of Diplo and Skrillex performances and their individual comedic personalities, showcased often on social media, don’t detract from the fact that they both are serious performers that will continue to push the envelope of the music industry as they further collaborate with leading artists worldwide.

Some of the top highlights for Diplo and Jack Ü this August include:

  • Jack Ü and Justin Bieber interview on the making of “Where Are U Now” for the New York Times Arts section.
  • Diplo interview for NPR Music on Making the Hits of Today
  • Jack Ü interview for the Charlie Rose show.
  • Major Lazer Performance of “Lean On” for Good Morning America

  • Jack Ü performance at Hard Summer
