's Mutants Records is quietly establishing itself as a consistently solid label, showcasing the work of rising Electro House
artists handpicked by the legendary founder himself. Having most recently released a Lunde Bros compilation, they now prepare to drop the second Mutants single from KitSch 2.0
, a collaboration with Damien N-Drix.
KitSch 2.0 & Damien N - Drix - Ass (Radio Edit)
Out on 28th April, 'Ass' is most certainly a memorable piece of work. An addictive bass line is kept lifted by the consistent use of vocal injections - "Shake dat ass!" Elements of freestyle within the lyrics give it an oddly satisfying twist, and it works well with the breakbeat aspects of the tune. The collaboration came about by means of aa friendship between the French KitSch 2.0 and N-Drix. They say:
“He’s a great buddy, not to mention producer, so the alliance came about very naturally, first through Skype and then, because we live in the same city, actually getting into the studio all together.”
The trio have pieced together 'Ass' from a range of styles and influences and the exciting use of synths make it an ideal dancefloor track. To put it simply, I would describe this how a clubber described it - "It's fun!"
I recommend you "Shake dat fu*kin' ass now" and check out the teaser below:
