have just dropped their latest single on Mutants Records
– a light-hearted, funky dance floor tune that was also featured on their compilation for the label a little while back. Combining polished production with a heavy use of drum patterns and signature bass, ‘Jump Up’ also comes alongside a wicked down tempo remix from David Vrong. The pair have become increasingly in demand of late, both as producers and DJ’s, and working under John Dahlback’s wing can only be a good thing. I caught up with the boys for a chat about what they have going on at the moment.
Thanks for taking the time to speak to us, played any crazy parties recently?
Yeah in our hometown of Stockholm, at Solidaritet. We hadn’t played there for a while and it was just wow, crazy!
Have you always written music as a duo or have you explored solo careers as well?
No, Christopher had a solo career for two years 1986-1988, before Niklas was born.
It is great to see 'Jump Up' getting the single release it deserves after coming out on the 'Mutants Presents Lunde Bros' compilation. Was this purely written for the clubs and dancefloors?
Thank you, yeah it’s for the clubs. We think its perfect for a bouncy dancefloor!
Who recruited David Vrong in for the solid remix duties and are you happy with how he has changed up the original?
He's a brother from another mother for us and he's been killing it lately with his new tracks, so it felt natural to ask him for a remix. Everyone should!
Will we hear any new Lunde Bros music this year, any information you can share with us?
Yes, got so many tracks we've been working on. It’s just a matter of time until we can reveal them all!
Who are your Top 5 all time producers?
