“Welcome” A Brand New Sound From Jayden Parx!
“Welcome to the scene, can you handle this?”
“I love the way you make me feel” indeed. Thumping bass with just the right groove, tasteful stabs and amazing production create the ideal 6 minute journey. From the get-go you are invited with a funky bassline and a masterfully blended breakdown. Space filling synths create a small pocket of melody before the bolts tighten and the temperature rises. Boom! Percussion, bass and reverb smash into your body with the combined force of big room house and tech trance. “Welcome” is truly an innovative take on festival bangers, and I hope more producers explore the vast unknown instead of mindlessly copying successful releases.
This is the new era of dance music, long after the time of the mother genres and after the reign of the sub-genre. Song structure is being refined with every release and there seems to be no end to the creativity when it comes to using new instrument combinations.
Parx doesn’t have too many tracks up on Beatport, but he’s collaborated with Nicky Romero, so that should count for something. Jayden’s background is definitely interesting, initially aspiring to be a professional snowboarder. After spending 4 years doing competitions around the world, a tragic accident left him unable to achieve his dream. Luckily his home was a creative hot spot and Jayden got the inspiration to pursue production (following a visit to New York’s esteemed Pacha Club). Being physically hindered gave Parx the mental boost he needed to push himself to achieve much in the few short years he’s been in the studio.
