Slop Rock Releases New Synergy LP

Slop Rock, the Brisbane based dance duo, have been meticulous is their transformation from typical band to cutting edge electronic act. This is seen in their 11 track long player Synergy. Atmospheric, progressive and all out fun in places, Synergy is packed with tracks that are guaranteed to fulfil any type of mood. With their dynamic follow up single ‘Make It Right’ to be released on 18th August, it is clear Slop Rock are sticking around to make their mark on the dance music theme.

The title track tips its hat to the 80’s, as synth melodies and shuffling drums set the tone. “Revolution 2” is a calm percussive offering; it’s lead not to dissimilar to Martin Garrix‘s mega smash “Animals”. “The Bomb” is a feature cut on Synergy, its essence coming from the Samba rhythms of Brazil. A sonic progression gives it a subtle but constant build, with plenty of energy to make it stand out. Another more melodic offering comes in the form of ‘These Few Heartbeats”, which features the glorious vocals of Ethan Thompson.

With this album released a week or so back via dance label VELCRO, Slop Rock show a unique knack for creating anthems yet something with a little more depth and versatility. You can purchase a copy here.
