Ookay Teams Up with Riggi & Piros for “Dafuq”
Featuring on his anticipated Ghost EP, “Dafuq” is the latest collaboration between trap legend Ookay and big-room giants Riggi & Piros. A huge party track following the big-room trend we’ve all come to love – trap fusion.
Releasing the 10th of this month on Dim Mak, “Dafuq” is going to blow up stage after stage this holiday season!
Everyone can agree that in some cases, nothing is better than half the speed and twice the girth! Well, the same goes for music.
The break has a cheesy mid-range chord progression but with a tight build up the drop goes mental. Massive synths with a shit-ton of reverb explode, cripple the foundation and have surrounding residential areas calling the cops. A job well done!
Ookay‘s background is very impressive. Called an American Trap Legend, he has played the biggest festivals in the country like EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo and Tomorrowworld. According to his bio, his ‘freshman and sophomore releases on Ultra Records charted in the top 10 on Beatport’ and his recent collaboration with Showtek “Bouncer” hit top 3. A hit-maker by any definition!
Riggi & Piros are two guys from New Jersey who have also had a very successful year. Since getting massive support for and releasing their remix of “Animals”, the duo found a decent foothold with their originals “Carousel” and “Taboo”. Their free-to-download “Hands Up” was well received along with their official remix for “Let’s Get F*cked Up” (Ultra Records).
Both Ookay and Riggi & Piros independently remixed The Chainsmokers’ recent banger “Kanye”, though they were on separate releases. Hopefully we will have more collaborations between these heavyweights. To stay up to date on what’s going on, follow Ookay and Riggi & Piros and throw their fan pages a like!
