What the Future Holds For Deorro
Beginning with humble roots, Deorro has managed to have one of the fastest climbs up the dance music ranks and is now considered one of the most respected producers in the industry. Back in the day, Deorro was under the name Ton!c before rebranding his artist image. His breakthrough came when Hardwell signed his single, “Yee.” After being one of the most played tracks at Tomorrowland in 2013, there was nothing to hold Deorro back.
Taking pride in being a family man, Deorro started his own musical family with the launch of his record label, PandaFunk. The LA-based imprint leader has already adopted artists such as Whyel, Duvoh, Zoofunktion, Dirty Audio, and Adrian Delgado. Deorro has outwardly expressed his passion for teaching dedicated producers the craft of producing music to showcase their sounds and styles for the world. The imprint is already been home to talented vocalists such as Adrian Delgado and Dycy who have seen drastic growth in their careers from their releases on PandaFunk. With his announcement of a hiatus, the PandaFunk fam will have their leader around much more to guide them.
Back in May, Deorro took it to Twitter to announce that he would be “quitting Djing” to focus on family, producing, and his record label. His break will be a transition to become more than a world-class DJ/producer. It is a move to become a curation leader for dance music scene. Over the past three years, Deorro has proven his capabilities as an artist and it is time for him to give back to a new generation of producers.
What will 2015 specifically hold for Deorro? Only time will tell. We do know that Deorro will be making waves with new music and the development of PandaFunk. If the past is any indication, Deorro is sure to continue to rise to greater heights and influence the dance music industry in a positive light.
In case you missed it last month, here is Deorro’s Boombox EP to help tide you over until his next releases.
