Mord Fustang Kicks Off 2015 With Album Release Party

Mord Fustang dropped his debut artist album “9999 in 1” earlier this week, and what’s a better way to celebrate than with an album release party, am I right?

The night got started at The Lash Pop Up, an up-and-coming hidden gem in Hollywood, whose underground vibes complimented the small, exclusive party.

Surprise artist Le Castle Vania took the stage before Mord, and got the crowd dancin’ with an eclectic mix of electro, deep house, and even a little trap. The crowd was pumped by the time Mord Fustang came on, and he definitely did not disappoint. Not only did he play the new songs off his album, but also threw in some of his oldies but goodies for all those day one fans.

Mord Fustang Live

I’m going to be completely honest right now… “9999 in 1” is 1ox better live than heard over any computer speakers. I had my doubts at first, but when you hear his productions live, there’s no other comparison. The energy he gave off during his set was amazing, and he kept us dancing till the the club had to close.

His new album his filled with video game-esque synths and major dance feels. The album still has that classic Mord sound, but every song is a little different from the rest. One minute you’re jamming out to some funky electro, the next minute you’re getting crazy to dubstep, and then the next minute you’re listening to “The Morning After The Morning After Pill”, and you’re in a different zone all together. The album already hit #6 on the iTunes Dance Chart, and is also seeing huge support from music platforms all over, including the infamous UKF, and Billboard.

Overall, Tuesday night was a great success, and nothing is better than meeting people who are there for the music. Go ahead and grab “9999 in 1” via iTunes here!
