There's electronic music, and then there's Crookers.
Well-known to most as the artist to remix Kid Kudi's hit "Day N Nite" (and turn it into one of the world's hottest EDM/hip-hop collabs), Crookers has been cranking out tunes that take everything we know about electronic music and turning it on its head. With hip hop influences and heavy basslines that would make even the hardest of dubstep producers cower in fear, Crookers' music never ceases to amaze me and weird me out at the same time. The perfect word to describe his music is unique, and people can't get enough of it.
With the release of his latest album Sixteen Chapel,
Crookers is ready to take of on a North American tour
. His new single off of the album, "I Just Can't" ft. Jeremih (yes, the "Birthday Sex" Jeremih) features a fast paced electro beat, the signature Crookers basslines and even some flute action. My personal favorite tracks on the album include earlier releases "Able To Maximize" (featuring even more crazy flute action) and "HEAVY", which I recommend listening to on headphones at the office rather than on the speakers (you'll see what I mean).
For those of you heading to the Seattle stop on Crookers' tour, you're in luck. We're giving away a pair of tickets with a meet and greet to the March 20th show at Foundation Nightclub!
