Shapov vs Amersy – Vavilon

Shapov may be a new name to some, however Alexander Shapovalov has been crushing dance floors since 2005 as one half of the legendary Hard Rock Sofa. He’s been producing sonic gold as Shapov since January, and has shown no sign of slowing down. “Vavilon” serves as Shapov’s first release on Axtone since his debut EP, which announced his break from Hard Rock Sofa.

For this effort, the Russian enlisted his fellow countryman, Amersy. The two young producers combined forces to create the orchestral beast that is “Vavilon”. This track features a breakneck intro laced with vicious violin stabs, and what can only be described as a pulsating back beat. Post-first drop, the listener is greeted with an ever intensifying barrage of orchestral sounds, ultimately breaking into a highly energetic electro infused drop. Overall, its an incredibly gritty track. One which takes you wayyy up, suspends you at 35,000 feet, and leaves the rest up to you.

Shapov’s received support from Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Alesso, and Hardwell, whole-heartedly legitimizing his post Hard Rock Sofa solo career. Similarly, Amersy’s music is continuing to flourish, even after winning Nicky Romero‘s “Symphonica” remix competition.
