 Monstercat - Monstercat 020 - Altitude

Vicetone opens up the album with the perfect beginner “What I’ve Waited For,” and that is exactly what I thought listening to this album. Pegboard Nerds tune, “Here It Comes” received a dirty and grimey remix from Snavs & Toby Green which is available for free download as Au5 changes it up with his trance-dubstep crossover in “Crossroad.” Sound Remedy & Nitro Fun make another appearance with their track “Turbo Penguin” which fits perfectly with the season as we all try to keep ourselves warm.  Grabbitz makes an appearance with his trapstep remix of Favright’s “Taking Over” featuring the breathtaking vocals of Cassandra Kay. If you’re feeling some drum and bass, step right into Rameses B’s “We Love” or Muzzy’s “Lost Metropolis” for an astral approach to the quick paced genre. The beautiful vocals continue with Tut Tut Child’s melodic tune “Breathe” which features Danyka Nadeau on vocals. altitude monstercatWith a diverse offering, this album is filled with a plethora of genres and artists alike. There is something here for everybody to enjoy whether you’re into dubstep, progressive house, drumstep, or a self proclaimed member of the trance family. Monstercat continues to make waves in the music business as it continues to deviate from the norm and lead the industry as an independent label. With deals with Major League Gaming and a weekly podcast hosted through Twitch, the label is setting themselves up for success with a plethora of talent and by embracing technology. When you think about major electronic music labels such as Anjunabeats, Spinnin', Ultra, Columbia and Atlantic, do not forget to think about Monstercat.
