As the popularity of electronic dance music has sharply increased, it has become imperative for productions to find unique ways to themselves apart from the rest. Facets of the music industry are continually changing, leaving many wondering where the next craze will manifest itself. From producers to DJ's, to production teams and visual artists it is blatantly obvious that EDM has evolved into something more than just the music but a digital art.
With a finger on the pulse of this change, Seattle's Decibel Festival is quickly approaching its 10th year running, 10 years in which it has perfected the fusion of these aspects. From September 25-29,it will play host to some of the most prolific figures in the industry. Countless live performances and interactive multimedia artist displays will consume the city giving attendees a peek into the inner workings of the industry. No neighborhood within the city will be without a taste of the festival, as participating venues such as Showbox Sodo, Q Nightclub, The Islander Cruise Ship and more will become filled with all walks of the Northwest music community (and beyond!).
Whether you are a rave regular, prefer an intimate underground setting or are looking to expand your musical horizons, Decibel Festival will help you get your hands dirty (or green*) through workshops, visual art and of course, top-notch shows.
The second wave of artists has also just been announced!
