Organic Music Festival features psy-trance and bass

Are you tired of seeing recycled names on every EDM festival's lineups?

Well, Motive Events is putting on their very first Organic Music Festival, and as their name suggests it... the line up is super fresh. On July 26th, the Pico Rivera Sports Arena took a break from hosting mariachi bands and rodeos to set up three massive stages for three underrated genres. If the following names don't ring a bell, don't be deterred - Organic Music Festival is the ideal place to discover new music live.

Organic Music Festival 2014 Line Up

The bass music stage hosted Dubstep acts such as Butch Clancy, Dieselboy, Trolley Snatcha and was headlined by Doctor P. The second stage had a combination of psy, trance and progressive music. Major artists included X-Noize, Christopher Lawrence, Coming Soon and a special US debut from Neelix. Finally, for those craving something a little more mainstream, Organic Music Festival held an electro house and hard dance stage which featured Kevin Wild, Gammer, Darren Styles and headliner Slice N Dice.

The People Behind Organic Music Festival

Not much is known about Motive Events and after scrolling through their Facebook page, it became apparent why. Endless complaints by promoters as well as websites and Facebook pages dedicated entirely to defaming Motive Events are a common find on the Organic Music Festival event page. This website deconstructs the events that occurred at The Lost City of Atlantis in 2011. According to this blog post, an entire stage was cut from the event leaving attendees and performers in the dark of who would actually be playing that night. Motive Events has also been known to refuse admission to their own promoters and even deny DJs the original payment agreed upon. Will Motive Events screw up again and ruin their first ever Organic Music Festival? I certainly hope not. And in any case, this beautiful lineup should be enough to pick up the slack.
