Freaknight Artist Spotlight: Zeds Dead

If you are looking for a freakish time at this years Freaknight Festival, look no further than Canadian, and Tarantino loving dubstep duo Zeds Dead. Easily one of the most progressive bass acts in the world, Zeds Dead has had a long career in the electronic scene duo to their countless hits featuring all manners of grimy bass, sick rap lyrics, and mind blowing drops.

Early Zeds Dead productions have a very unique sound and style to them that has for the most part stuck around to their newer productions. At the same time however, they have progressed their sound thanks to their many collaborations with a very diverse pool of artists and their recent joining of the Mad Decent crew.

Zeds Dead does not know the meaning of the word light, or peaceful. Instead DC and Hooks live in a world of heavy and hard bass with a style and sound rarely heard in the electronic circuit anymore.

Their sets are beautifully crafted and have more of a rap concert feel to them than a dubstep concert. Often times teaming up with Omar Linx, Zeds Dead tracks are hip hop and rap inspired and the merging of electronic and rap really stands Zeds Dead apart from many other bass artists.

Make sure you catch the duo this Halloween when they come into play an incredible set at Freaknight. Find out more information on Zeds Dead and this years Freaknight Festival via the links below.

From LA to Seattle, the West Coast has always been my home and I take great pride in the music scene we have here. Bass music is my first love, but in reality I love and appreciate all types of music...besides country. Let the music talk. You just have to be ready to listen.
