This Lineup is Wicked For Something Wicked

If you haven’t decided on a Halloween festival yet, you might want to consider Something Wicked at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston on October 24 and 25. Last year, the festival boasted a big lineup with Bassnectar, Excision, Flosstradamus, Kaskade along with many others. Only to outdue themselves this year, Something Wicked will have Above & Beyond, DJ Snake, Jack U and Steve Aoki as the headliners for this year’s event. Check out the full lineup below.

While the headliners alone will turn a lot of heads, my favorite part of the lineup is the stellar supporting cast joining the headliners this year. Something Wicked will be bringing the bass again this year as Blasterjaxx, Borgore, Destructo, Headhunterz, Lookas, Mija, Party Favor, Slander and Snails are a few of the names guaranteed to blow through your eardrums this Halloween.

Something Wicked is changing it up this year as they will be bringing a slew of Progressive House, Deep House and Techno artists ready to turn the biggest bassheads into emotional dancing machines reinvigorating the genres to the masses. Audien, The Chainsmokers, Cash Cash, Tritonal and W & W will be pounding the ears with the latest progressive tracks while Adam Beyer, Claptone, Tchami, Ida Engberg, Lane 8 and Layton Giordani will be keeping the bass line low and thumping throughout the festival.

Come enjoy the sights October 24th and 25th at Sam Houston Park

Not only will Something Wicked be boasting a stellar lineup, the festival will also have a Drumcode stage. The Swedish label’s stage has been seen recently at Mysteryland and Awakenings along with being announced for Tomorrowworld and Nocturnal Wonderland. Houston and Something Wicked are onto something special here as they have collected some of the best in the techno scene. Maybe we will see an Ida Engberg B2B set with Adam Beyer like Awakenings had? One can only hope.

Adding to the already stellar lineup with Seven Lions, Benny Benassi, Peking Duk and others, Something Wicked has gone all out for this one. I think it is safe to say that tickets are worth it for this festival. You even have enough time to check out all the other Halloween festivities too since this is a week before (Kaskade at XS Las Vegas… or Haunted Fest in Dallas.)

You can purchase tickets now from their website, www.somethingwicked.com. General Admission tickets are currently $139 for both days while VIP will cost you $239. The lineup without headliners are worth the ticket price and seriously Above & Beyond and Jack U? Two of the most wanted acts currently across the nation at the same event? It’d be dumb for you miss out on Something Wicked. Follow them on Twitter, give them a like on Facebook and comment below with who you’d like to see.

Can it be October yet?

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
