Euphoria Music Festival Is The Move This Year
Euphoria Music Festival announced the full lineup for their April festival this week and once again, it is blowing my mind. After announcing Above & Beyond over Christmas, the Austin-based festival one-upped themselves by announcing once-in-a-lifetime act Eric Prydz in support of his new album Opus. I’ll repeat that… Eric Prydz is coming to Euphoria. Along with the Swedish DJ, Euphoria also announced Klingande, Shiba San, Autograf, Break Science, Waka Flocka Flame, and more. Check out the full lineup below.
There are festival lineups and then there’s Euphoria’s lineup. Released the same day as Electric Forest’s, Euphoria instantly beat them out by the one name…Eric Prydz. Not only is Euphoria giving us the most talked about act of 2016, but they’re incorporating him into a group of artists that continue to push the limit of electronic music. Whether it be the bass mastermind Bassnectar, trance gods Above & Beyond or the ever eccentric Dillon Francis, each of these artists will have their place as the top acts at Euphoria’s 5th anniversary.
Festival lineups seem to be getting a bit repetitive, offering the same experience time and time again. Electric Forest social media and snail mail marketing may be impressive, but it couldn’t overshadow the fact that I felt like I’ve seen the same lineup before. Mysteryland, though filled with top acts, didn’t have that feel to it like previous years. Euphoria though, stayed true to Austin’s favorite mantra “Keep Austin Weird,” with off the wall names like Mashd N Kutcher, Lance Herbstrong, Broccoli Samurai, Daily Bread, and my personal favorite Cream Cheese Accident (an ode to String Cheese Incident).
Spanning 4 days this year with the New Moon Pre-Party on Thursday, Euphoria Music Festival continues to plant itself as one of the premier boutique festival in the country. Located just minutes away from downtown, it returns to Carson Creek Ranch for its 5th birthday.
Tickets are available on their website now, starting at $149, and $70 for camping. With camping already 50% sold out, buy your tickets quick as the announcement of Eric Prydz will definitely fill the festival.
Let us know in the comments below if you are going to Euphoria and we hope to see you at the Ranch. Let’s #FindYourEuphoria together this year.
