Take A Trip to Backwoods 2016 this Labor Day
Festival season is upon us and that means one thing…lineups galore. As we refresh our feeds every 10 seconds waiting for a new lineup to drop, we hope that you didn’t pass over Backwoods Music Festival Phase 2 lineup. After revealing Phase 1 back in January, the Oklahoma festival has revealed its final additions. Check them out below.
Moe. and Nero (Live) will be joining Big Gigantic and Nahko and Medicine for the People this year as headliners of the weekend festival. After witnessing Nero live for the first time at BUKU this year, the trio is a definite plus to this lineup. Keeping true to their jam band roots, Backwoods will welcome moe. as well, rounding out the weekend with music for everyone.
Chill house trio Autograf, “Funkatron” creator Big Chocolate, Elephante, Pierce Fulton, Styles & Complete and more round out Backwoods. While lineups seem to be growing stale with repeat acts, Backwoods breaks the trend giving us another eclectic lineup in 2016.
In 2015, Backwoods had big plans for their 5th anniversary and they didn’t disappoint. The vibe and the people were infatuating, the venue was perfect (a ranch located 20 minutes off historic Route 66) and the lineup was jaw-dropping. Immediately after, the crew was back at work planning on improvements to the already stellar festival.
With Wakarusa taking 2016 off, Backwoods is the festival everyone is penciling in the South. GA tickets are still relatively low at $199 (which includes camping) along with VIP options starting at $299. The $499 Ultimate VIP option seems to be the steal of the festival as it includes, discounted drinks, free woods camping in the venue, showers and flushable toilets, free festi-cab rides and sit down dinners with artists throughout the weekend. Purchase your Backwoods 2016 tickets here.
