Another B2B set is upon us at Paradiso 2014. Ookay and Kennedy Jones are set to lay down a trap set that is sure to get everyone low to the duo’s heavy hitting trap beats.

I have been following Ookay for a while now. He initially caught my attention with headlines around him dropping the notorious Animals remix that Deamsu5 is well known for dropping during his set this past year. Since then, I have enjoyed many of his remixes.

Ookay has a pleasantly fresh sound and style that really sets himself apart from the rest of the trap artists out there. Few artists have stood out to me from the trap genre, but Ookay has proven that he has what it takes to differentiate himself from that same old same old ratchet trap.

Born and raised on the Sunny shores of Southern California, Kennedy Jones has spent most of his life around big bass music. After seeing great success with a collaborative Dubstep project, including a track signed to Ultra Records, Kennedy decided that the time was right for a solo project.

Taking elements from all of his favorite styles of music and cramming them into some of the most unique sounding tracks that anyone had heard, this new “Kennedy Jones” project quickly took the bass music scene by storm. With overwhelming support from artists such as Carnage, Major Lazer, Borgore, Ookay, Brillz, Bro Safari, Mt Eden, Nadastrom, Luminox, 12th Planet, and more, Kennedy Jones has continued to show the world that his high-energy, bass-fueled, twerk-enducing, music can take any venue to a whole new level.

Catch Ookay and Kennedy Jones’ back to back set later this month at Paradiso 2014. I will be there to see what these two can do behind the decks and to enjoy what I am sure will be an amazing set filled with dirty bass.

From LA to Seattle, the West Coast has always been my home and I take great pride in the music scene we have here. Bass music is my first love, but in reality I love and appreciate all types of music...besides country. Let the music talk. You just have to be ready to listen.
