Paradiso Artist Spotlight: Above and Beyond
(listen to this while reading through the rest of the post)
Above and Beyond
Jono, Tony, and Paavo. Three names that have come to mean love, respect, harmony, and Above and Beyond. The UK trio has become one of the leading acts in EDM and have given us so many beautiful pieces of music.
From their last album, Group Therapy, to the acoustic album that showed off their music in a whole new way, to their beautiful and emotional live sets, Above and Beyond have become more than just a musical artist or band; they have become a movement.
Known for good vibes, beautiful vocals, and melodic beats, Above and Beyond are the masters of moving a crowd. Their sets bring people to tears on a nightly basis and their music has inspired so many good things and helped so many wonderful people. This will be their second time performing at Paradiso, but I can still remember discovering them at Paradiso year 1.
I was front row following the dirty bass of Knife Party. I turned to the girl next to me and asked “Who is up next?” She replied Above and Beyond. I had heard of A&B but never really listened to them. My life was forever changed after that night.
For an hour and a half I danced, sang, and had chills to what was the most beautiful music I had ever heard. Since then I have fallen in love with A&B and seen them two more times. I am ready for my fourth Group Therapy session, and my second at The Gorge.
With an album in the works, countless new releases on their Anjunabeats label, and ABGT 100 in the works, you can be sure Above and Beyond will be bringing something truly special to the Gorge in just a few days. Make sure you are there to be a part of another Gorge Group Therapy session. This is something you will not want to miss.
