Capitol Hill Block Party Artist Spotlight: RAC

RAC

With the Capitol Hill Block Party almost upon us here in Seattle, the time has come to feature some of the electronic artists who will be performing at this event. First up, we have one of my personal favorites and one who you may not have heard of before: RAC.

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, RAC first got my attention with his remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans.” The poppy, light-hearted beats and vibes have kept this track on my summertime playlist for a while now.

Recently he surprised me with his remix of Porter Robinson’s “Sea Of Voices” bringing the laid back and melodic track back with a fresh upbeat feel.

Now RAC has released his first full length album, and after listening through it all I am completely sold on the musical abilities RAC possesses.

The album has a wonderful relaxed feel to it, and reminds me of laying in the summer sun on a blanket with friends. This is exactly why he is perfect for playing at the Capitol Hill Block Party- an event with undeniable chill summer vibes.

Check out more from RAC on his Soundcloud, and I recommend picking up his latest album Strangers on your preferred music buying site. Make sure to catch RAC on July 27 at the Capitol Hill Block Party! Ticket and general event information can be found on the CHBP website, linked below.

From LA to Seattle, the West Coast has always been my home and I take great pride in the music scene we have here. Bass music is my first love, but in reality I love and appreciate all types of music...besides country. Let the music talk. You just have to be ready to listen.
