I recently had the pleasure of opening the main room at Reverse Events’ recent Tech(no) series of loft parties. As always, Reverse spared no expense on theatrics and production value. I got to play in stainless steel truss space ship! The event was held on the south side of Chicago in a 4 story venue that hit capacity relatively early. If you missed my set or couldn’t make the event, no big deal. You can hear it in the recording at the bottom of this page but be sure to go to their next event tomorrow.
Headlining Tech(no13) will be, SHADED with support from Alex Sibley, Exhale, and local support from Twitchin Skratch, Bucky Fargo, Meister, and Hunter Vita. SHADED a.k.a. Skyler Taugher has a signature sound – a weaving combination of funky, psychedelic vibes and textures. Skyler has been touring throughout the world; sharing festival and club stages alongside the worlds most heralded and respected Electronic musicians and DJs. Whether it be a massive festival or a small dark club, the pulsing funkadelic Techno of the SHADED live experience is undeniable. He has had multiple EP’s on both Techno and Minimal charts in 2012 and 2013 including the hit tracks ‘Be My Binge,’ ‘Love Bug,’ and ‘This Is This.’ His musical output has gained much respect from industry heavy weights including Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Tiga, Slam, and Sasha. His major noted release on SCI +TEC was the EP ‘Dwell’ that reached #1 on the Top 100 Minimal Release charts via Beatport.
If you’re going, be sure to get your tickets before they run out. If you can’t make it, I’ll be sure to post a lot of great pictures, videos, and a full review just to rub it in. As always, the location will be announced day of the event so stay tuned!
