Hank Keller and Scott Osburn (founders of the event) recently sat down and answered a couple questions that we have all wanted to know. Check out a selection of them below:

Q: Over LIGHTS ALL NIGHT’S five years, you have taken place at a few different locations in Dallas.  This year you are now heading to the Dallas Market Hall.  What prompted you to move from the Convention Center?

SCOTT OSBURN (SO): Over the last six years we have had one goal: create the most over-the-top NYE experience possible. Every year we are looking for the perfect venue, largest production, top musical acts and best experience. After years of using this criteria, we finally received the opportunity to work with Dallas Market Hall. DMH has been producing a NYE event at the space for years, and the opportunity wasn’t available. We just recently found out that the space was available and were able to strike a deal with the venue. After flying in our full team to build the site including production, safety and “experience curators,” we know we are onto something great and have never been more excited as we believe we have found the long term home for Lights All Night.

Q:  LIGHTS ALL NIGHT is taking place this year over NYE. Why do you think Dallas is the best place to spend your holiday?

HK:    Over the years we have seen about 25% of our audience travels from outside the state of Texas to attend LAN. For one we usually find that the weather is a little nicer down south during NYE, but also become Dallas has done a tremendous job becoming an entertainment hub worth traveling to. For those looking for an exciting and upscale NYE weekend experience Dallas has it all with great hotels, an eclectic offering of restaurants and a nightlife that has something for everyone. We think as we continue this journey of creating unique NYE moments with LAN that Dallas will be right there with us to make a memorable weekend for all.

Reading through the interview, I couldn’t help but get more excited for the event. After attending last year, I’m anxious to see the changes they made for this year including bigger stages and the new venue. If you would like to attend Lights All Night, you can purchase single day or two day passes. VIP passes are also available for a bit more. Purchase tickets from Eventbrite now! Grab your tickets, bring your friends and bring in 2016 with Lights All Night this year!

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
