Bumbershoot 2016 Lineup Is The Best We've Seen [tickets now on sale!]

I have to admit, when I first saw a leaked version of the 2016 Bumbershoot lineup, I thought there was no way it could be real. In fact, it was almost as if someone had made a fake lineup with all of my favorite artists just to mess with me. No way could anything look that good. [caption id="attachment_37729" align="aligncenter" width="758"]BS16_Poster_Web-vert_rgb how are you real???[/caption] Seattle's Labor Day arts and music festival is putting a heavy emphasis on music this year, with a lineup that easily rivals Coachella. Jazz, hip hop, indie, rock, matter what you are looking for, you can be sure that you will find it at Bumbershoot. In addition to local heroes Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Death Cab for Cutie, we get to welcome a diverse selection of artists that includes everyone from Third Eye Blind to DJ Snake, Fetty Wap to Kygo, Explosions in the Sky to Billy Idol, Marshmello to Father John Misty, and much, much, much more. Not to mention the long awaited Seattle return from Porter Robinson and Pretty Lights. Also, back by popular demand is also USC's Silent Disco at the EMP Sky Church, featuring some of Seattle's premier local DJs. Be still my little heart. Tickets for Bumbershoot are now on sale! You can get them from the official website as either a three day package ($220 after fees), or other Gold and Emerald VIP options. This year’s labor day festivities will see a slight change in scheduling, now sprawling across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to give everyone a much needed break before they head back to school or work the following week. Other information including hotel accommodations, vendor information, and a Spotify plugin to help you explore the musical talent, is all available on the Bumbershoot website. In the meantime, take a look at our own playlist. The entire lineup is obviously amazing, but here are some selected tracks from the dance/electronic artists from Bumbershoot 2016. From the obvious choices of DJ Snake and Porter Robinson to the ones that sneak in like Melanie Martinez and Explosions in the Sky. If they're kind of dancey, we included it. What a perfect way to end the summer.
