TheFatRat – Dancing Naked (Official Music Video + Free Download)

Warning! An epidemic is spreading… The high-risk infection known only as TheFatRat has been going viral with his latest attacks on pop culture. The newest strain comes in the form of a free download of his new funky, glitched out single ‘Dancing Naked‘ and its clever, self-produced music video by the German rodent himself.

“The plot behind the video of “Dancing Naked” is a classic quest,” TheFatRat said. “A hero breaking free from restraints, traveling the world, fighting and hustling, searching for a place he can call his home and a true friend.”

But not so typical is the hero himself. A rat, made out of a pair of socks and animated in stop motion, exploring and participating in well-known TV shows, movies, advertisements and pop culture imagery.

“Still, we all can relate to this hero, because his journey is our journey,” TheFatRat continued. “Just like the rat, we all travel through media every day, searching for the holy grail of entertainment.”

One to push everything from technology to his music to the limit, TheFatRat finds enjoyment in defying boundaries with his productions.

“Making music and videos is all about breaking the rules for me and doing stuff that no one has done before,” TheFatRat said. “Technology gives us such great opportunities to do this, especially when you use it in a way it was never meant to be used.”

Since TheFatRat began infecting the scene in 2011, he’s had 10 consecutive remixes on Hype Machine’s Top 10, five of which hit No. 1, his first original ‘Spinter’ jump straight to the top of the Beatport Dubstep chart, and has done official remixes for the likes of Diplo, Chris Brown and Martin Solveig.

With EDM phenomenons like Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Noisia, Dillon Francis, Madeon and more spreading the dexterous virus, TheFatRat shows no sign of containment in the near future.
