Calvin Harris – Thinking About You (Synchronice Remix)

Remember “Thinking About You”? Admittedly, it may be a bit of a challenge to recall, considering Harris’s “18 Months” dropped well over a year and a half ago. Despite the track’s lack of current relevance, Ayah Marar’s vocals proved too flawless to leave untouched. In remixing this top ten single, Synchronice took a bold approach by implementing and relying upon the electric guitar. As a result, the track possesses an indescribable vibe, one second you’re groovin’ out to some killer chords, the next you’re majestically teleported into Progressive glitch-dom with the glitter of an airy xylophone. Incredibly, the decent into Prog-Step is distinctly graceful, not harsh, even transitioning into a wonderfully melodic guitar lead around 1:35. The second drop provides the listener with a heavy dose of synth and numerous satisfying percussion breaks, rounding out one of the best remixes I’ve heard in a long time. Have a listen! You won’t be disappointed.

If you’re unfamiliar with Synchronice, aka the Saulsky brothers, have a listen to their previous releases. My favorite being their remix of “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons.

Also, both of these are available for FREE DOWNLOAD, so have at it!
