Australia seems to be amassing quite a few producers recently. Who can blame them after Tommy Trash
continues to amass a huge crowd at his concerts. The other day I found another artist that hails from Perth, Australia creating some excellent tunes. Ryan Exley is a fairly young producer at only 21, but after ‘Hold’ being released, he is sure to gather a big following. This song features an “Astral” feel to it (which also happens to be the name from his last EP) that is best described by his genre description, “Porter Robinson Fan Boi.”
Starting off with a quiet and mellow melody, he blasts the song into space with an excellent synthesizer that expands off the original melody. He creates an amazing half-speed version of the drop following the original which certainly adds depth to the song. Adding in the beautiful vocals during the bridge calms your spirit down until Exley sends you into the clouds again with the second drop.
Combining pop-y sounds with this glitchy dance beat; Ryan Exley creates a huge smile on my face when I listen to it. Listening to this song makes me think about everybody’s faces in after movies of festivals with the lights bleeding onto people’s faces looking on in wonder. All they can do is stare and listen to the amazing sounds being played. I can only imagine he was thinking about Porter Robinson’s new album, ‘Worlds’ when making this tune. Listen to the tune and check him out across the many social networks he is found on. Enjoy the tune and make sure to grab the download!
