I Might ‘Lose Myself’ in Seven Lions’ New Track

Can Seven Lions do anything wrong? He could easily be one of the top artists of 2015 with his new EP The Throes of Winter. Need proof? Check out “Lose Myself” below.

Seven Lions – Lose Myself ft. Lynn Gunn

Beautiful vocals from Lynn Gunn and a buildup reminding me of big room fill the ears as Seven Lions stuns us with powerful bass and a glitched-out vibe for the drop. In what almost sounds like a Zedd beat, Jeff Montalvo brings the angelic beat and vocals back in and adds the glitch sounds to create one big dancing vibe. I can imagine this being played in almost every single live set during festival season. If this is any indication of what we are to expect from the new EP, we are in for a treat.

Seven Lions has been touring like a maniac recently so it is no surprise this song has a big-room vibe to it. Don’t be fooled though, he hasn’t lost his identity. Jeff is still all about breaking norms as he destroys subwoofers and stages alike with bass. After seeing him in December at Lights All Night, I can confirm that he puts on a hell of a live show. Not unlike this song, he weaves dubstep, house and maybe a little psy-trance in exquisite fashion that leaves everyone speechless and wanting more.

Seven Lions LAN Lose Myself PictureI, for one, cannot wait for his new EP to be released. With Above & Beyond’s and Excision’s new albums, this, and the thought of having a Jack U EP, makes 2015 filled with more albums and EP’s in what has been a generation of singles. I like it. Comment below on what you think about the tune and what your expectations are for the EP.

You can preorder his new The Throes of Winter EP now which will be released March 3. By preordering you receive this song as a gift. Check out Seven Lions across all social media platforms and stay tuned for another stellar year from one of the bass gods.

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
