Italian-born DJ and producer EDX (Maurizio Colella) is bringing melodic progressive house to Hyde Beach at the SLS Hotel in Miami during Miami Music Week Sunday, March 24 from noon—8 p.m. After many events in Zurich and Los Angeles, EDX makes his way to Miami for this special premiere hosted by EDX’s weekly global radio show “No Xcuses” and XIV. The Italian/Swiss producer’s unique sound has played a huge role in the EDM scene since the early millennium and will be captured by several progressive acts, including Stafford Brothers, Andrew Bennett, Dzeko & Torres, Leventina and Justin Sheppard. Meanwhile, as the follow-up to his last Toolroom Records hit “Touched,” EDX rings in the summer with more unmistakable vibes, this time exhibited within the epic and lush soundscape that is “Blessed” set for release March 18 via Beatport and April 14 though all other outlets. With precision engineering that embodies warmth, clarity, depth and punch, it's not only the expert mechanics behind “Blessed” that stand out from so much other material within the same genre, but naturally also the superb songwriting itself. Beautiful melodies, harmonies, chord progressions and key vocals all combine to create an infectious summer sound that is utterly unique. With EDX support already ranging from Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and many more, expect standout progressive house in a league of its own, faultlessly executed.
Currently residing in Switzerland, EDX has to date remixed some of the most notable names in the industry including Armin van Buuren, deadmau5, Kaskade, Bob Sinclar & Axwell, Benny Benassi and even Beyoncé to name a few. With such momentum gaining strength, he continues to share his love for the best progressive house in the scene.
