“Doh Tell Me That” Major Lazer Is Out Of The Picture
Ugh, I really don’t know where to begin with this one. Maybe I’m feeling this type of way, because Diplo is portrayed as a God in my eyes, or maybe it’s because aside from EDM, I live for Soca. Either way, it’s a Major Lazer remix, joined by Jr Blender and Flipo, so you can automatically assume it has a feel that spans from Jamaica to Trinidad and Tobago. But really, take it from me (a Trini), this mix is a true Carnival banger.
Major Lazer x Jr Blender x Flipo – Doh Tell Meh Dat (Remix)
And…..I’m about to fan girl right now, so I would like to apologize in advance….but
Diplo is golden in my eyes. The Mad Decent founder is actually EVERYWHERE. You name it…BBC Radio (Diplo and Friends), VH1 (SoundClash), Music Festivals (Coachella, Ultra, MDBP, etc.), JACK U, and more. I LITERALLY HAVE A BOOK BY DIPLO (128 Beats Per Minute)… and I highly recommend that you invest in it.

The book takes you through different locations where Diplo draws musical influences, one being Trinidad. He was there for a Vanity Fair column, and it’s no surprise the company brought him there just in time for Carnival.
I’ve been to Carnival before, and I am going to tell you right now, it’s one big cultural lime (Trini lingo for party) filled with costumes, calypso, and soca music. Needless to say, Trinidad goes absolutely insaaaane.
“Everything revolves around curry, rum, and dancing.”
So enjoy this one and immerse yourself in Soca.
