We're right in the thick of winter, but there's something about the sun-soaked beats and summery vibes of tropical house that make it feel so perfect for these cold months. While Kygo and Thomas Jack are often the first artists that come to mind when we think about tropical house, Felix Jaehn has quickly solidified himself as one of the most promising young talents in the genre.
The Hamburg native exploded onto the scene with his remix of OMI's "Cheerleader," topping the iTunes charts in over 55 countries this year. Felix quickly followed up his break-out release with a stunning re-work of Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" that showcased Jaehn's signature brand of melody-driven, feel-good house music. He then spent the rest of the year perfecting his tropical-infused sound with releases like "Book of Love," and "Eagle Eyes," while delivering stand-out remixes of Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" and Alina Baraz & Galimatias' "Fantasy."
In one short year, Jaehn has managed to capture the hearts of the world with his sun-soaked take on house music, and the sky is the limit for the budding star in 2016. Enjoy this Spotify playlist of our favorite Felix Jaehn tracks and keep tabs on him in this new year.
