Santa Barbara Trio Dropout Takes Ownership For ID Hit, “Slowly”

“Slowly” began its dance music tear when it was uploaded without ownership onto the YouTube channel, Proximity, and the song that emerged was an instant smash. Many tried to guess who it was and questions heightened when the track was endorsed by Pete Tong, Oliver Heldens, and more. To put their faces behind their work, newly formed trio, Dropout, come forth as the artists behind “Slowly.”

“Slowly” is an immediate, feet-shuffling smash right from the moment the play button is clicked. It combines everything people love about a good house tune – throbbing bassline, bouncing synth chords – alongside a warped vocal hook that instantly has you singing along. “Slowly” is another great example of where dance meets pop, and Dropout is sure to surge into the spotlight in no time after revealing their faces. The track comes along with a flickering, black-and-white music video to accompany its dance-worthy nature and is now out on Big Beat Records.
