Nigel Good Welcomes Monstercat with New Single “No Way Back Up”

It’s always a good sign when an artist signs with a record label. The artist’s career is on the rise and people are starting to take notice. It’s even better when the label is well-known, like Monstercat. The Canadian label has quickly been snatching up new and fresh artists to join their expanding lineup, this time adding Canadian native Nigel Good. As a welcome to the new label, Nigel released “No Way Back Up” and you are definitely going to want this one.

Nigel Good – No Way Back Up (feat. Illuminor)

Nigel’s style is a melodic approach to progressive house, and yes, that is different than deep house. Starting from claps and a piano undertone fit for those late nights, Nigel adds in smooth strings and a smooth synthesizer melody before Illuminor’s vocals carry us away. The bass melody infectiously chills the soul and the quicker pace keeps the track from falling into the deep house groove. The anti-drop Nigel incorporates makes it a perfect track for a good pair of headphones and a cup of coffee, or a nice cold brew at night as you gear up for the next day.

nigel good MonstercatNigel’s music has been noticed by some of the best in the game including Porter Robinson, Above & Beyond and Myon & Shane 54. Continually releasing quality track after quality track, it was only a matter of time before a label scooped him up, and what a good pick up for Monstercat.

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
