[OTB Premiere] J-Sevilla – Octupus (PhuturePhil Remix)

Sometimes I just like to chill with some house music. Enough with the heavy trap drops, booming bass and intricate synthesizer melodies requiring enormous brain activity to understand. Sometimes you just want music to dance to. Get your dancing shoes on, stand up and let PhuturePhil’s new remix of J-Sevilla’s “Octupus” take you there. Out now on AH Digital, Only The Beat has the privilege to bring you the premiere of the track. Preview it below and purchase it now from Beatport for a full seven minutes of house vibes.

[OTB Premiere] J-Sevilla – Octupus (PhuturePhil Remix)

PhuturePhil includes ambient overtones and a house beat perfect for the late night dark room dance vibes. I can see the dance floor slowly moving through the spectrum of colors as the beat keeps everyone’s feet moving. Although the track may be seven minutes, I find myself clicking the playback button to repeat it over and over. If this is any indication of where PhuturePhil is going in 2016, you may want to keep an eye out for him. In the words of Star Wars, “The Force is strong with this one.”

PhuturePhil, a Houston native, has been steadily gaining popularity and traction with his Immersion Radio series released on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Drawing references from deep and progressive house along with trance and techno, his music is truly a journey and I look forward to hearing more from him.

Check out PhuturePhil on social media channels and keep up with all your latest electronic music news and info on Only The Beat. If you liked what you heard, I’d suggest checking out the other remixes and the original by J-Sevilla also.

Music has always been a passion of mine, being the kid trying to find the latest music to listen to. In college, I was exposed to Emalkay's "When I Look At You" and EDM quickly became my favorite genre. I hope to show people through writing what EDM has done to me and hope I can help people discover the beauty that is EDM.
