The Golden Pony Heats Things Up with ‘Common Emotion’ Remix
It’s was a blistering 39 degrees in New York when I heard this track for the first time. A cold and gloomy day with warmer weather not anywhere to be seen on the horizon. Luckily, not everyone in New York was feeling the frigid temperatures. Things for The Golden Pony are certainly heating up right now.
The Brooklyn-based duo recently released their remix of Rudimental’s single “Common Emotion” featuring Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer MNEK. In true Golden Pony fashion, these two skillfully integrate a newly-fashioned bass cadence, persuasive piano accustomed to early 90’s New York House, and backed it all up with MNEK’s soulful vocals. Doing so, they’ve again created that signature sound that flows ever so smoothly from beginning to end that we have come to enjoy. This remix is heads in the right direction, delivering a feel-good vibe capable of warming up any dance floor.
Rudimental ft MNEK – Common Emotion (The Golden Pony Remix)
Music sometimes straddles current and classic sounds, this remix does exactly that. Tons of crossover appeal with this remix. This track should definitely be added to your personal playlist if it isn’t already.
