Autograf leaves their signature on Christina Perri’s “Burning Gold”

Fresh off their unique take on Dirty South‘s “Unbreakable“, the trio Autograf are back with the second installment of “Future Nites“.

Once again, Autograf joins some seriously good company on Christina Perri‘s Remix Album, including Addal, Bit Funk, and Grouplove. The five remixes on the album are delightfully different, and tweak, twist, and chop Perri’s vocals in every way imaginable. Which, I would assume, is exactly what she wanted. The last time I heard Perri’s silky smooth voice, she was singing about love, hearts, scars, and jars. With her new release “Burning Gold“, it sounds like she’s departed from her sappy songwriting and turned over a new leaf.

“I’m setting fire to the life that I know,
and start a fire everywhere that we go,
we started fires, we started fires,
’till our lives were burning gold”

Christina Perri’s drama aside, Autograf took “Burning Gold” and threw out all the pop elements, moulding the track from a top 50 hit of today to a futuristic flip of tomorrow. Check out the groovetastic glitched out beauty below, and get the whole Christina Perri Remix Album on iTunes HERE.
