Stephen Walking and Hyper Potions Invite You On A Saturday Morning Space Ride

The next installment of nostalgic Saturday morning vibes is here! Stephen Walking continues the fun-filled sounds of his past tracks, “The Difference Between Us And The Aliens” and “Dads in Space”. “Saturday Morning Space Ride” captures the inherent joy of early morning cartoons, video games, and mass cereal consumption. With a little help from his pal, Hyper Potions. The team delivers a hit, like your favorite pizza joint.

Taking elements from the 16-bit chiptune songs of simpler times and infusing it with an almost tropical house vibe, the pair lays down a relaxing ride. That is until they hit you with the signature Future House basslines that have made Stephen Walking the name in music that he is. The break downs are enjoyable enough and give the track time to build and breathe as they take you on this morning drive. The ending while short, definitely had me pining for Saturdays with the Rugrats all over again. Not only is “Saturday Morning Space Ride” an exuberant and boisterous nod to the Saturday morning activities of our youth, it is also a catalyst for some seriously cheesy dance moves.

There hasn’t been a combo this effective since Super Street Fighter II. Put down the Game Boy, grab a slice, and take a listen.
